Found some time to do the first 2 events of the career this week. The “hard” AI put in very good lap times but don’t really fight for position at all, so they do have that rolling chicane feel. They also do perfect pit stops so it’s really hard to get P1 if you miss the box by a bit. I’m still trying to figure out where to stop so I end up burning +5-10s in the pits. Yay!

Great sim though, going to have to get online once I figure out some of the tracks I’m not familiar with from past experiences. Anyone around here playing or is this exclusive Forza country still?

Oh, and the Heli cam replays are fantastic.

I have played a bit of it but not too much
Its kinda in between iRacing/rFactor and Assetto Corsa/PC2 which doesnt interest me too much these days...I’ll get back into iRacing once it snows and I cannot have my weekend fun with the Vette and AC is fun to play around with mods...

Still just the first one. I’ve never been really into the race cars like the GT3 on there. My wheel also has an intermittent issue with the upshift paddle micro- switch so I usually just stick to manual cars and practice heal toe.

The weather and time change is cool though.

I find it an improvement on the original with the exception of the car selection. The living track is quite nice the way grip builds up from session to session and if you get on the marbles it’s shit grip. The dry line appearing as rain goes away is also a nice touch.

I’ve still yet to decide to spend the $ on iRacing. Always looks like quite a cash sink, though the SCCA gave me a coupon so maybe I’ll give it a try before that expires.

It definitely is an improvement over AC...b ut Im uploading a clip from AC right now which I will post to Oppo. I find it more fun!

iRacing is...complicated. Its very real, you WILL be frustrated at times :) That said tho, I’ve had some of the best races on there and got into oval racing as well due to iR. Nothing like trying to survive an Indy 500 full length race :)

Its a blast when you get the hang of it. GT4 is a bit pricey but the cars are better flavoured as a grid, and the IGTC tracks are a must.

Yeah, I'm a cheap ass so the DLC is on my wishlist waiting for the inevitable sale. I my need to just bite off the track pack though. I want suzuka and laguna seca.

Got my sim rig set up a couple weekends ago. Haven’t been able to enjoy Forza (it might just be Horizon 4 though, didn’t enjoy it before the sim rig either) so I’ve been playing a bunch of BeamNG.drive. Want to move towards more sim oriented games though eventually

Well ACC is pretty good. The car choices are all GT race cars so that’s limited but I’d say the simulation model is better than project cars which is better than GT/Forza but probably not fully up to iRacing.
